I'm trying to locate any and all info regarding this album with special emphasis on one cut that the album calls "When stars looked down". My preliminary searches have not come up with a composer or even that the song exists. It seems odd to me that a concept album such as this would have music on it that is not traceable to origin. Also...since the album is called Ballads, wouldn't Kenton have used well known ballads, and if not, wouldn't he have said something in the liner notes? (I can't find them either!) Anyway...the tune is just gorgeous and sounds like about 5 saxes out front with the opening refrain. By the way, listening to that tune I now know where Mancini got his scoring ideas. This is my first post so I hope to find some answers. Thanks for listening. Gordie-mesa,AZ
